Owl Moon

This artwork began with a composition of a celestial map from 1887, a moon chart, metallic gold paper and a photo taken by Samkarame of a barred owl in flight. A photograph was taken of the composition. Multiple digital alterations of the photo were printed and cut into strips; those were pieced together with vintage postage stamps and metallic gold paper.
