Reading the Night

This artwork began with a photo of a great horned owl by Jill Lang laid on top of a celestial map from 1887; a photo was taken of that composition. Multiple digital alterations were printed and cut into strips; those were pieced together with text from an 1897 publication, handmade and metallic paper.
