Two photos were combined: a bluebird photo taken by John Niehay and an Auguste Renoir painting. Multiple digital alterations of the composition were printed, cut into strips and pieced together and combined with pieces of a 1910 map of the British Islands. Background image is Auguste Renoir’s Hills around the Bay of Moulin Huet, Guernsey.
